OT required to be part of a new County ASC team being set up to complete Care Needs Assessments which are Needs Led linking in with Social Work colleagues.
OT will need to be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Position will require travel county wide.
Completing Care Needs Assessments.
Completing Moving and Handling Assessments - requires working with formal and informal carers, commissioning staff and Social Workers.
Completing complex seating assessments.
Providing/ recommending equipment provision and adaptations - working with the Home Improvement Agency in each locality
Need to have skills working with variety of medical conditions, learning disability, Mental Health and dementia
Must be able to drive
Specifications
- Qualified Occupational Therapist Worker DIPCOT/BScOT/MSCOT ( Registered with HCPC)
- Best Interest Assessor (or commitment to train as one)
- Experience of working with vulnerable people
