We’re very excited to announce that the funds from our Christmas raffle will be donated to a Hertfordshire-based charity dedicated to helping people affected by spinal cord injuries. The Trust was established in 2005 and is a voluntary-run organisation which enables the team to ensure that all resources are placed with the people who need it the most. Marrianne Rooprai was the passenger in a car involved in an accident and spent weeks in intensive care with a broken neck fighting for her life. Doctors later told her that she would be paralysed from the shoulders down. From laserponcture in France, the Russian ‘Dikkal’ method of rehab, through to Ekso walking, FES rowing and Prime Physio, lots of elements have played a part in Marrianne’s ‘progress’. Lisa Drage, CEO at Evergood Associates, said: “Having met with Andy Uttridge the Co-Founder at Rooprai, I was so overwhelmed with the amount of work they do and their dedication to improving the lives of people with spinal cord injuries. It’s a pleasure to be supporting such a great local charity.” As well as donating funds from the Christmas raffle, Evergood Associates have also committed to ongoing sponsorship of this inspirational charity. Andrew Uttridge, Co-Founder of The Rooprai Spinal Trust, said: “We are a small, entirely voluntary, Hertford-based charity, and it’s very exciting for us to have Evergood Associates as a key supporter. “We help people who have been paralysed by spinal cord injury and Evergood’s commitment to us will enable us to expand our life-changing Physio scholarship program. The Evergood team are a welcomed friend sharing in our journey and we hope this is the start of a beautiful relationship.” For more information about the truly amazing Marrianne Rooprai, or The Rooprai Spinal Trust, click here.
